When deciding on the images that you are going to use on your profiles, mix tapes, websites, mail-outs and social networking sites it is very important to take time out and work out what you are trying to portray BEFORE you do the photo shoot!  You have to think about many factors! The quality of the images, the angles, the location, the clothing and the styling of the shoot, your facial expressions, gestures and your body language, will all play a part in telling your audience WHO you are and what TYPE of artist you are.
